The news of Mr. Eddy Arnold's death this morning has caused me to reflect upon the December, 2006 evening the four of us had the pleasure of meeting him and having our picture taken with him. He was so kind and gracious. I remember telling him how much I always loved his song "Molly Darling" to which he began reciting the words. What a moment for me personally! Thank you Mr. Arnold for giving the world many years of good music and for being so nice to four fans. Rob Hatchett-The Tennessee Four

    Linda,

Great to hear from you! We're glad you are enjoying our CDs. It was good to have your group at the Cafe our last visit there. We had fun picking on you guys - hope you didn't mind! We're back there on the 20th of this month and are looking forward to another good night.

We are considering a gospel album and are planning to get into the studio after the first of the year to get it started. We'll see how things go.

As for the Rocky Top thing, unfortunately we're a mixed group. Two Vol fans, one Vandy fan, and one guy (as usual) totally in left field with Auburn. You figure out who's who!

    Go VOLS!!!

WOW, We recently heard you sing at the Bell Buckle Cafe. We were with the Manchester group at the front table. I bought both your CD's and have not stopped playing them. Kings of Babylon is a great song. I love all the songs. It has been a long time that I have bought a CD that I have liked every song on it. I would really like a gospel CD. Any plans, especailly you singing Beulah Land accapella? Can't wait to get the Christmas CD.
Thanks to Rob for singing "Blueberry Hill" for me. See you next time at Bell Buckle. Surely you will know "ROCKY TOP" after Smokey got ahold of those Georgia Bulldogs today. Go Big Orange

    Ms. Allen,

The nearest game that we will be singing at is The Cincinnati Red v. Atlanta Braves baseball game on August 21st. We’re not sure if that game will be televised but you can check your local listings to see. We hope to be asked to perform at future events. We do enjoy singing the Anthem. Thank you for your email and for being a fan of The Tennessee Four.

    Take care,

    Hello Tim,

I wanted to send you a note of appreciation for your group’s wonderful CD. Your brother Tom and I had dinner Monday evening and followed up with a jazz concert in Columbus.

Tom shared with me your CD and I felt the need to send you a message. It was outstanding!!!!! I enjoyed every selection very much but the two that stood out for me were the Star Spangled
Banner and Angel Band! Your group has a beautiful harmony and projection……….well done!!!!!!!! Please pass on to the rest of the group my sincere appreciation for your music!!

You have gained another fan in Ohio! Maybe our paths will cross some time if you visit Tom in Ohio!

    Regards,
Marty Aellig-Columbus,Ohio

I bought “Naturally” last week, and… okay, so how do I buy the Christmas album??? And when are you making another album??? And, hey, how about Dan Seals’s “One Friend” — I bet you could turn that into something fantastic!

Wow! I just finished listening to the cd. I was rivetted from beginning to end. The harmonies are so pure and the singing is crystal and clean. These guys are pros under the guise of regular working guys. The Bell Buckle Cafe is onto a well kept secret it seems!

    Hello gentlemen,
It was a pleasure to have you play the radio show yesterday at the Bell Buckle Cafe. Thanks for your time. As we discussed, we’ll have the Webb Craft Fair on the 3rd weekend in October. I would like to have y’all play on the outdoor stage that I am putting together. The time slot I have for you is from 1:30 to 3:00. You would set up between 1:00 to 1:30. I allow a :30 minute slot for each act in case it’s needed. This would also give you a little time to eat and rest before your show at the cafe.
Thanks,
Roger Huffman

    Tim,

Thank you for the CD!!!! Of course I love it!!!! I couldn’t wait to pop it into the CD player at my desk . . . and I wasn’t disappointed. I like the way it starts off jaunty and peppy with “Blue Moon,” but I also liked the slower, “softer” songs like “When I Fall in Love” and “Angel Band” - both of which are in a tie for my favorite song on this CD. I’ve always like “King of the Road,” and this version captured its style and made me hope you add a Sinatra/Martin/Rat Pack classic or “Mack the Knife” or something else from that fun era to the group’s repertoire. Who wouldn’t love your excellent version of the Billy Joel doo-wop revival “The Longest Time”? Although it actually has a sad meaning (owing your soul to the company store can’t be fun), “Sixteen Tons” made me smile - something about that bass line tickles my funny bone - and “Happy Trails” was also fun and a good choice to wrap up the album (not counting the bonus track . . . speaking of which, I bet you guys will ACE that Predators try-out!!!).

I think you are all super-talented (beautiful harmonizing), I really like your song choices, and oddly enough, I really liked the variety of those selections. Although the music industry usually likes to pigeonhole people’s musical tastes, I think most of us are smart enough to have more diverse tastes - and this CD caters to that.

So, being true to my rock-n-roll roots, here’s a “virtual tribute” to the band . . . you’re supposed to be seeing a clip-art lighter, in case it doesn’t make it through the e-mail filters) . . . And, here’s hoping for many, many encores!!!!
